Chime Candy

a groundbreaking piano app that transforms traditional lessons into an engaging arcade-style game. By following falling notes and tapping corresponding keys on a touchscreen keyboard, students master the fundamentals of piano in a fun and interactive way.

Created by Richard Hurley of Hurley Piano, an Austin-based specialist in piano instruction for neurodivergent children, ChimeCandy was developed in collaboration with interns from the Austin Community College intern program. Tested extensively by autistic students at the Williams School in Austin, TX, the app’s design is tailored not only for neurodiverse learners but also with accessibility in mind for partially sighted students.
